A goat on my porch and another giveaway

So I had a really nice day with my daughter and my grandson today. We went shopping, visited grandma  and got pizza and brought it back to my house. While we were sitting here there was a goat on the porch. My neighbor got a pic with his camera phone and said he is going to email it to me to put up on facebook.

I think goats are really cute and would love to have one. I had to pick on Tom about it. I acted all excited and asked him if he got me a goat for my birthday cuz he knows how bad I want one.

Then some other neighbors heard about the goat and came over looking for it. They ran off determined to catch it. I wonder what they plan on doing with it if they catch it.  I told Tom I want to keep it.

Shipped out all the orders today and getting stuff ready to photograph tomorrow and working on upcoming blog posts. Got some awesome stuff coming up.

I did a thrift store trip and spent about $10.00 on everything and came up with some really awesome crafty stuff and made some way cool stuff with what I purchased and what I have at home already. Stay tuned.

Also I want to have my own giveaway. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I should give away?
Check out my etsy shop and let me know what you think I should have for my giveaway.

Roasted garlic hummus with whole wheat flatbread

It was really hard to focus on anything today. The weather warmed up finally and it was a gorgeous day out. Bright and sunny and about 70 degrees. Needless to say I did not get much done in the way of work today. But it was a really good day.
I made homemade Hummus last night from scratch, even used dried chickpeas and cooked them in the crock pot beforehand. It was great. Also make homemade whole wheat flatbread which I cooked in a skillet on the stove. Ate way too much of both today.

Roasted Garlic Hummus recipe

1 lb bag of dried chickpeas simmered in crock pot for 6 hour or until tender
1 bulb of roasted garlic peeled
1/2 cup lemon juice
water as needed
1/2 tsp dried parsley
coarse ground pepper to taste
salt to taste
1/4 cup tahini

in a food processor or blender process the chickpeas and garlic add spices tahini and lemonjuice. Add water as needed while processing to form a paste.

Serve with raw veggies, fish, meat, crackers, chips or pitas or flatbread

HOMEMADE WHEAT FLATBREAD
1 envelope of yeast
1 tsp sugar or honey
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup water room tempurature
1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cup of unbleached flour

in large bowl or pan of bread machine add yeast, water and sugar. Combine both flours and salt and add to the yeast mixture. Mix in bread machine or by hand or with mixer until smooth. Once dough is mixed split into 8 even balls and lay flat to rise for 2 hours in warm place or until double in size.

Heat skillet on low heat add butter or olive oil if you wish and add flattened dough to pan, turning to brown evenly on both sides. cut into pieces and serve with the fresh hummus.

Happy New Year to Everyone

Happy New Year to everyone. I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe new year.  Has anyone started any new projects for the new year or made a cool resolution.

I have resolved to organize all my crafting stuff this year. I was looking at some awesome tutorials for making organizers and how to organize your stuff better. It gave me a LOT if ideas.  I have the before pics and will be taking some during pics and of course lots of after pics.

I made the coolest bad hair day had I have ever seen. I will be posting pics once I can get some.  They are dread hats. I made one for my daughter's boyfriend in the Rasta flag colors. He does not have dreads but he has super long hair and has always wanted one to put his hair up in. So sometime today or tomorrow he will have one.

I will be placing these in my etsy shop too.

Also I will be discounting all purses in my etsy shop this week. So if you fell in love with a purse and were not able to afford it now is the time to grab it while it is still there and get it at a way better deal. I am going to be doing a whole new line for the spring and will be working on them really soon.

Have a great day all and I will have pics soon.
